Train-component projects can request precoated-sand precision castings or a separately selected silica-sol investment-casting scope with CNC machining. Provide the material specification and drawing before selecting the route. The actual component, required condition and application acceptance should establish the manufacturing request.

Define heat treatment and resource allocation

Quench-and-temper treatment is referenced to two mesh-belt furnaces. Confirm the condition required for the selected alloy and the records needed to approve it. For machining allocation, facility references name 50+ machining centers and 80+ CNC machines; agree the operations and production resources needed for the order.

Assign inspection to the selected characteristics

MT, UT, RT and CMM are listed, while visual and gauge inspection each carry a 100% scope. Define the actual checks, coverage and acceptance limits appropriate to the part. Keep NDT scope and the stated visual or gauge coverage separately identified in the inspection plan.

Specify final work and component interfaces

Shot blasting and assembly are named services. Mark functional datums, finished dimensions and contact areas, with the required surface condition and supplied stage clear for acceptance. Identify what any sample should demonstrate for the train-component request.

Set documents and project approval requirements

Select the governing ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF or AS requirement and complete grade. Request relevant IATF16949 and ISO14001 documents and scope. Include quantity, revision and project-specific acceptance records, retaining the same material, route and finished condition through production approval.
