Product description

Processed bentonite clay is available for enquiry in 200, 325 or 600 mesh selections. The named uses include sand-mould 3D printing and precision casting, with drilling-mud requests treated as a separate application. Choose the intended use and fineness before defining the material specification.

Select the mesh option against the process requirement

The available fineness labels identify distinct mesh choices. State which option is required and the acceptance basis used by your process. If comparing grades, request the material data relevant to that comparison so the purchasing decision is based on the selected clay and intended application.

  • Identify a casting-mould or drilling-fluid application.
  • Select the required 200, 325 or 600 mesh option.
  • Describe the process or formulation in which the clay will be evaluated.
  • State the material properties and acceptance data needed for that use.
  • Define the sample evaluation and required supply quantity.
  • Identify the documentation needed to compare the selected grade.

Define the casting-mould compatibility enquiry

For sand-mould 3D-printing or precision-casting work, identify the sand and binder system and explain the proposed role of the bentonite. Agree the grade and evaluation criteria for that system. A mesh selection alone does not establish formulation compatibility or a dosage for the moulding process.

Give drilling-mud requests their own acceptance basis

Describe the drilling-fluid use and the properties required by the intended formulation. Request the relevant grade data and evaluation conditions for that application. Keeping the drilling-mud specification separate from the casting-mould enquiry allows the material to be assessed for the process in which it will actually be used.
