Define the finished metal component by linking the casting route, required heat-treated condition and any machining work. This custom OEM enquiry includes sand or investment casting with optional CNC processing and selected surface treatment. Begin with the complete material grade and drawing so the heat, dimensional and appearance requirements belong to the same deliverable.
Match the Heat Condition to the Selected Grade
Specify the required material condition and the route suitable for the component geometry. Identify the faces and interfaces that need finished dimensions after the agreed processing stages. The precision request should be expressed through the actual drawing requirements rather than an assumed numerical capability attached to every casting.
Identify the Key Sizes for Full Checking
Production quality control combines random checks with 100% inspection of key sizes. Mark those key dimensions and agree the checking methods and acceptance records for them. This distinction preserves the specific inspection scope while connecting the random production checks to the relevant stages of the ordered work.
- Painting can be assigned to the selected component surfaces.
- Powder coating can follow an agreed material and coverage requirement.
- Customer-specified finishing can be defined with its final appearance criteria.
Resolve the Order Unit and Technical Data
The minimum-order reference is 50, with the ordering unit to confirm for the selected part. PDF, CAD, IGES and STEP are the named drawing-data formats. Provide the required quantity and finished interfaces with the supplied condition, keeping the actual order basis consistent with the component drawing.
Complete the Finished-Part Approval Plan
Bubble bag, carton and wooden-crate packing are included among the named arrangements. Agree material, dimensional and final-surface acceptance for the chosen casting and its machining scope. The completed enquiry should make clear which key sizes receive full checking and how the heat-treated component is approved in its required final condition.
