Bring the engine-mount drawing to the center of the aluminum-alloy casting enquiry. Die or sand casting and optional machining can be selected for the actual component, while a giga-casting request needs its own configuration and design assessment. Define the ordered part and its interfaces before applying a broad process label to the entire project.
Select the Actual Alloy Designation
Aluminum references include A360, A380, A390, ADC-12 and ADC10. Separate zinc-alloy enquiries can specify Zamak 3, Zamak 5, ZA-3 or ZA-5, with the actual governing designation agreed rather than assumed equivalent. Keep each material requirement attached to the corresponding component and compatible route.
Review the Envelope and Wall Geometry
The size references are a maximum envelope of 1550×1550×1100 mm and a minimum wall of 1.5 mm. Confirm applicability to the chosen material, process and engine-mount design. Dimensions and tolerances follow the customer drawing, with any machined interfaces and final component condition identified for approval.
- Powder coating or painting can be defined by actual substrate and coverage.
- Shot blasting can be assigned to the selected casting surfaces.
- Anodizing can follow the required aluminum surface condition.
- Nickel or zinc plating can be requested with the applicable finish criteria.
- Polishing can be agreed against the component's appearance requirements.
Define Inspection for the Chosen Component
The service includes 100% inspection, with methods and acceptance agreed for the ordered work. Communication-equipment, automation-machinery and medical-device requests are separately defined applications, each requiring its own component duty. Request applicable ISO9001:2015 documentation and scope with the drawing, quantity and final approval criteria.
Give the Engine-Mount Proposal a Clear Boundary
Identify mounting geometry and the conditions relevant to the selected engine-mount design. A giga-casting enquiry should resolve its actual process configuration and acceptance before the manufacturing scope is settled. This keeps the custom proposal tied to the specified part rather than an assumed machine size or universal application approval.
