The nonstandard pump-impeller selection is stainless steel labelled 200 mm (7.87 in), with customizable size requests also available. Separate material enquiries include iron, aluminum, brass, bronze, zinc and plastic. Define the complete grade and actual geometry for the selected impeller or component.

Show the blade and mounting geometry

Provide the shaft interface, blade form and passages relevant to the pump design. Specify the service duty and acceptance checks required for the actual installation. Investment, sand or vacuum-casting scope should be selected for that drawing; die/gravity casting, forging or stamping are separate material-appropriate requests.

Choose the finished surface

Polishing, shot blasting, glass-bead blasting and powder coating are named finish choices. Identify the treatment and the surfaces where masking or contact condition matters. A plastic component needs its own manufacturing brief rather than being treated as a metal-alloy selection.

  • Give quantity and the controlled drawing revision.
  • Mark the diameter selection and functional interfaces.
  • Define the supplied condition and appearance acceptance.
  • Identify dimensional and material approval records.

Select testing and qualification records

Resources include CMM, hardness testing, salt-spray testing and tensile testing. Agree the applicable checks, examination areas and acceptance criteria for the chosen material and finish. Identify the ISO9001:2008 qualification document and scope. Keep any sample approval connected to the same grade, drawing and supplied condition used for the ordered pump component.
