Surface TreatmentSpraying
Aluminum-alloy components can be requested through die or sand casting with spraying surface treatment. Select the complete grade and compatible route for the actual part. Define the required supplied condition around the component drawing and the duty it must serve.
Choose the spray-process requirement
Identify the intended spray method and the coating or surface result required on the chosen substrate. Mark treated areas and the appearance criteria relevant to visible surfaces. Specify contact conditions and any masking where spraying affects dimensional assessment or installation.
Define the casting’s functional geometry
Show mounting, locating and mating relationships with adjoining components. Put permitted limits and measurement conditions on the interfaces governing fit. Distinguish regions accepted in their cast state from surfaces needing another supplied result for the selected use.
Set application-specific approval
Describe the actual operating environment and material condition relevant to that design. Identify the checks needed to accept the component geometry and sprayed surface. Explain what an initial casting must demonstrate against its mating arrangement and appearance requirement.
- State the aluminum part’s quantity and controlling design revision.
- Identify the complete governing grade requirements.
- Specify material, dimensional and surface approval records.
- Retain accepted route and sprayed-area decisions within the component definition.
Confirm subsequent castings against the same working relationships and selected supplied state rather than assuming a coating type from the spraying request alone.
