Aluminum-alloy mechanical parts can be specified as a cast component with selected CNC-finished interfaces. This OEM/ODM enquiry covers sand casting and CNC precision machining, together with sandblasting, painting, polishing or customer-requested finishing. The requested drawing and supply condition determine the scope for each part.
Use the assembly drawing to focus precision requirements
Identify the dimensions that locate the component in the machine and those that control its connection to other parts. A high-precision enquiry becomes more useful when the required limits are assigned to particular dimensions and datums. Show which surfaces may remain in the cast condition and which need CNC finishing.
- Provide the controlled component drawing and required quantity.
- Name the aluminum-alloy grade and governing material specification.
- Mark the mounting faces, bores and other assembly interfaces.
- Place numerical tolerances on dimensions that require them.
- Select the surface treatment for functional and visible areas.
- Define the measurements and surface checks needed for acceptance.
Select a finish for the actual surface function
Sandblasting, painting and polishing are named finishing choices. Describe the desired result and any contact surfaces that need special treatment instructions. If a finish affects a mating dimension, identify the required finished condition so the casting, machining and finishing scopes can be coordinated in the quotation.
Align the material standard and supplier documents
GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are stated standard families; select the applicable document for the specified alloy and component. ISO9001:2015 is the qualification reference to address through relevant supplier documentation. Agreeing the grade, drawing limits and inspection requirements gives the order a clearer technical basis than a general precision description alone.
