Drawing-based casting enquiries offer aluminum, brass, stainless steel, zinc alloy or ductile iron as separately selected materials. Define the complete grade and suitable casting route for the component. Required size, tolerances, color and surface treatment follow the customer’s specification.
Use the drawing to describe the assembly role
Show the mounting, mating and contacting geometry that determines the part’s use. Mark the datums and acceptance limits for those interfaces, including the supplied stage at which they are measured. Identify any additional work requested to reach the final component definition.
Define the required appearance by face
Provide the selected color and treatment for the actual substrate. Specify coverage and masking around fitted areas, with a visual reference or criteria appropriate to visible surfaces. The accepted surface condition should correspond to the geometry and fit required by the drawing.
Connect inspection with the selected component
The stated 100% inspection should be assigned to agreed material, dimensional and surface characteristics for the ordered part. Define the actual checks, acceptance limits and records required to approve them. A sample can establish an identified result when its relationship to the drawing is clear.
