Custom alloy-component enquiries cover aluminum, zinc, magnesium or brass with a selected die-casting or sand-casting route. Choose the complete grade for the drawing and intended duty. The actual combination of material, geometry and process should define the requested part.

Describe the part within its application

Show mounting, locating and contacting relationships with adjoining equipment. Identify the material condition and supplied state needed by that working role. Broad application coverage is best translated into the actual environment, interfaces and acceptance requirements of the selected component.

Identify optional machining

Mark dimensions and faces needing work after casting, distinguishing them from areas accepted in the cast state. Establish datums and measurement conditions for the final fit. Agree the included operations around those interfaces instead of assuming every surface receives the same processing.

Specify surface, color and packing

Define a compatible treatment and the required appearance on the selected substrate. Identify coverage and masking where finish affects installation. Color and packing follow customer requirements, including protection appropriate to the component’s finished contacts.

  • Inspection is stated as 100% for the selected order.
  • Define the actual checks, acceptance limits and records.
  • Request applicable IATF16949 documentation and activity scope.
  • Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.

Keep approved changes to the material, route and supplied condition together so repeat enquiries remain connected to the same component and its intended use.
