Custom steel investment/lost-wax castings are offered with optional precision machining. Stainless-steel choices include 304, 316 and 316L, while brass and sand-casting requests can be defined separately for the actual component and required supply condition.
Select the material and casting acceptance
Provide the full steel or stainless-steel grade and the drawing revision used for the order. CT4–CT8 is the stated casting-tolerance reference for steel casting parts. Agree the applicable dimensions and route, keeping that steel-specific reference distinct from any separately requested brass component.
Define the machining and roughness requirements
Named operations include CNC machining, lathing, milling, turning, boring and drilling. The machining references are up to IT7 and Ra 0.8–3.2. Specify the controlled dimensions, roughness unit and supplied stage so these requirements can be checked at the relevant finished interfaces.
- Select carbon steel, 304, 316, 316L or separate brass material.
- Provide the component drawing and required quantity.
- Mark cast dimensions and machined mating surfaces.
- Assign tolerance and roughness acceptance by location.
- Specify surface treatment and the delivered condition.
Choose finishing and packing for the selected metal
Galvanizing, passivation and polishing are named surface options to match to the actual material and service requirement. Identify treatment coverage and any interfaces needing protection. Multilayer wooden-box or pallet packing with a large inner plastic bag is described for steel parts; agree the arrangement appropriate to the ordered component and its finished surfaces.
