MaterialIronCasting MethodShell molding casting
Custom carbon-steel resin-coated-sand casting enquiries are available alongside separate iron and shell-moulding component requests. Identify the material family, complete grade and actual route for the drawing. The part’s strength and operating-duty requirements should define its material condition and acceptance brief.
Show the load-bearing and assembly relationships
Mark mounting, locating and contacting geometry in the intended equipment. State loads and conditions relevant to the selected component’s design. Identify the material properties and supporting records needed to assess strength for that actual duty.
Define cast geometry and the required finished state
Provide overall form and the internal or external details relevant to the casting proposal. Put datums and dimensional limits on the drawing. Distinguish cast-state surfaces from interfaces requiring additional work or a particular supplied condition before assembly.
Set the material and surface approval task
Identify the required material, dimensional and appearance records. Mark working faces and visible areas with their surface requirements, including treatment coverage where requested. Specify measurement conditions and any design-specific checks needed to approve the chosen part.
- Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
- Identify the governing grade document and condition.
- Explain the purpose of a reference sample.
- State what an initial component must demonstrate.
Retain accepted material, moulding-route and finished-interface changes with the component definition, keeping production approval connected to the actual steel or separately specified iron casting.
