Construction-component enquiries include iron sand casting, magnesium die casting and separately defined metal-fabrication work. OEM/ODM support allows the material, thickness, geometry, color and finish to be developed around the actual item required by the project.
Choose the component and manufacturing route
Identify whether the request concerns an iron casting, a magnesium die-cast part or a fabricated zinc, aluminum, copper or steel component. Provide the relevant drawing and full material grade. If the request includes a pattern or powder-pattern item, define that deliverable and the condition in which it must be supplied.
Assign forming operations to the fabricated item
Punching, stamping, bending and riveting are named fabrication enquiries. Select the operations appropriate to the chosen material and component geometry. These can be quoted as a separate scope within the project, giving each casting or fabricated item its own drawing and acceptance requirements.
Specify thickness, color and surface work
Thickness and color are customized. Electroplating, powder coating, sandblasting and lacquer are finish choices to match to the actual substrate and operating environment. Identify coating boundaries and any surfaces that need dimensional or appearance checks after treatment.
- Provide 2D/3D CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF or IGS information.
- Define the casting, fabricated part or pattern deliverable.
- Select the material, thickness and required process.
- Specify quantity, finish and supplied condition.
- Agree testing methods and acceptance for the construction application.
Make testing specific to the order
Testing support is stated. Identify the checks and coverage needed for the selected component so its inspection brief can follow the approved material, geometry and delivered condition.
