Custom sand-casting enquiries include copper, stainless steel, aluminum or gray-iron components made to client specifications. Select one complete material designation for the actual drawing. OEM/ODM sizes, tolerances, color and surface finish should describe the part and condition required for its intended use.

Locate the component’s functional geometry

Show mounting, locating and contacting interfaces with the datum relationships used to assess fit. Identify dimensional limits and the stage at which they apply. Where an existing part accompanies the drawing, distinguish the intended shape from service wear or damage before defining replacement geometry.

Specify the appearance and contact condition

Provide the selected treatment and color reference for identified faces. Mark coverage and masking where finishing interacts with fitted geometry. Define visual criteria and any particular contact-surface condition needed for the delivered component.

  • State quantity and the controlled revision.
  • Identify the required material condition.
  • Mark cast and any further-processed areas.
  • Define material and dimensional approval records.
  • Explain the sample’s purpose in approving the result.

Coordinate inspection, packing and qualification

Strict 100% inspection is stated; agree the characteristics, actual checks and records for the chosen metal and geometry. Bubble protection, carton and wooden-case packing are listed, with protection defined for finished or visible faces. Request relevant ISO9001 documentation and scope alongside those requirements, keeping sample and production approval tied to the same selected material, drawing and supplied state.
