Custom ductile-iron industrial rings are made by sand casting with milling for the selected component. Dimensions follow the required drawing, with a minimum order of ten pieces. Identify the complete iron grade and final supplied condition for the machinery ring being ordered.
Show the ring’s mating and locating geometry
Define the inner and outer form and the interfaces connecting the ring to surrounding components. Mark the datums and dimensional relationships controlling fit. Identify which surfaces establish location or contact and the operating conditions relevant to material selection and component acceptance.
Specify what milling must finish
Distinguish cast-state areas from interfaces requiring final dimensions. Put the required limits and measurement conditions on the drawing, including relationships that must be assessed together. State the surface result needed at working or contacting faces and any boundaries between different supplied conditions.
