Custom ductile-iron components are offered with sand casting, CNC machining and customer-requested surface finishing. OEM/ODM enquiries can define size and color around the actual drawing, with 100% testing stated for the supplied component scope.
Set the iron grade and finished interfaces
Provide the complete ductile-iron grade and the component's role in its assembly. Mark the mounting, locating and mating surfaces that require dimensional control. The drawing should distinguish cast dimensions from the interfaces that must be accepted after CNC machining.
- Submit the controlled drawing and selected ductile-iron grade.
- Identify cast geometry and CNC-finished interfaces.
- Specify surface treatment, color and supplied condition.
- Define the tests and acceptance records required.
- State order quantity and pallet-packing requirements.
Define the testing behind component acceptance
Identify the material, dimensional and surface checks needed within the stated 100% testing scope. Agree the methods and acceptance limits relevant to the actual part. This gives the inspection request a practical relationship to the ordered geometry and operating requirements.
Complete the quantity and document requirements
The minimum-order reference is 100; agree its counting unit and application to the selected component. Pallet packing is named. Request applicable ISO9001, ABS and EN124 documents within their actual supplier, component or testing scope, keeping those requirements with the approved drawing and inspection brief. The selected grade and delivered condition can then remain consistent throughout the purchasing and acceptance process.
