Custom foundry sand cast parts are offered in HT250 grey iron or QT450 ductile iron for industrial enquiries. These are separate material choices. Sizes follow customer requirements, with casting, machining when needed and surface treatment forming the selected component work scope.
Choose the complete iron specification
Identify the actual material designation and the requirements governing its use. Standard families include ASTM, ANSI, JIS, DIN, EN and GB; select the applicable document rather than treating those references as equivalent grades. Describe the part's working role and the assembly conditions relevant to the chosen iron.
Mark the geometry and supplied condition
Provide controlled dimensions, governing datums and permitted limits for functional interfaces. Identify any additional machining operations for agreement during quotation. State the required surface result and the condition in which the component will be accepted. Keep the chosen material request tied to the actual drawing and complete grade requirements.
Supply a usable design package
Drawing formats include 2D PDF or CAD and 3D IGES or STEP. Identify the controlling revision when models and drawings are supplied together. ISO 9001:2015 is the certification reference; establish the applicable document and service scope for the order.
- State the selected iron grade and component quantity.
- Identify initial approval stages and required inspection coverage.
- Specify material, dimensional or application records needed for acceptance.
For a revised enquiry, explain changes to material, geometry or finishing before confirming the new work scope. Keep repeat production connected to the same industrial part and its agreed supplied condition.
