    Customer's Drawing Request

Industrial machinery castings need a defined iron grade and an identifiable component drawing. This OEM/ODM sand-casting enquiry includes GJL200, GJL250, GG20 and GG25 grey-iron requests, with ductile iron available as a separate material choice. Size and tolerance requirements follow the customer's drawing.

Select the iron family and governing grade

State whether the design requires grey iron or ductile iron, then name the applicable material standard and grade. Keep the selected designation consistent across the drawing, quotation and inspection request. Where a project uses one of the GJL or GG labels, identify its governing specification instead of relying on a grade-name comparison alone.

Dimension the part for its machinery function

Show the component's position in the machine and the interfaces that determine assembly. Customized dimensions allow the enquiry to follow that design, while customer-drawing tolerances identify which measurements establish acceptance. Describe the operating duty where it affects the material or inspection requirement.

  • Identify the machinery component and controlled drawing revision.
  • Select the iron family, grade and material standard.
  • State the batch quantity and required delivered condition.
  • Mark critical dimensions and the checks required for acceptance.

Define what the stated inspection covers

The service states 100% inspection under an ISO9001 system. Agree the inspection methods and the characteristics to be checked for the ordered casting. This turns the inspection statement into a usable acceptance plan tied to the actual dimensions and material requirements.

Carry qualification requirements into the purchase specification

ISO9001 is also the stated supplier-qualification reference. Identify the relevant documentation and scope required by your purchasing process. The finished component's load, pressure or fatigue requirements should be specified separately through its design and acceptance criteria, with the selected grade serving that defined application.
