Custom green-sand cast and semi-finished metal products can be requested for industrial components with polishing. Processing may follow a drawing, a sample or both. Define the required metal and whether the order concerns a semi-finished casting or a component requested with CNC work.
Establish the condition handed to the next operation
Identify the geometry accepted at the supplied stage and any interfaces reserved for further work. Show the datums, dimensions and allowance requirements needed to explain that handover. The enquiry should make clear which characteristics the supplied casting must demonstrate before later processing begins.
Coordinate drawings and reference samples
Provide the controlled drawing revision and explain what the sample illustrates. Identify worn or damaged areas that differ from the intended design. Where both are provided, state how the sample and dimensional instructions are used to establish the actual component definition.

Describe polishing and final acceptance
Identify the faces requiring the polished result and any contact or appearance condition relevant to use. Keep those requirements attached to the selected metal, drawing and surface definition so the semi-finished or further-processed component has a clear procurement basis.
