Custom CNC machine-bed castings are offered in grey iron or ductile iron using furan-resin molding. Annealing is included and machining service is available, with grinding and sandblasting enquiries defined against the required bed geometry and supplied condition.
- Provide the machine-bed drawing and selected iron grade.
- Identify mounting, guide and adjoining-component interfaces.
- Specify machining allowances and finished dimensions.
- Define the report coverage needed for acceptance.
- State quantity and customized packing requirements.
Set the datum scheme for the bed
Mark the reference surfaces used to locate the bed and its machined interfaces. Describe which areas need machining or grinding and which can remain in the casting condition. The actual machine design should establish the dimensional and service requirements used to evaluate the supplied component.
Keep annealing and final measurements in one plan
Furan-resin molding and included annealing form the named process scope. Agree the required material condition and the stage at which finished dimensions will be checked. This connects the casting and treatment work to the final geometry defined by the approved drawing.
Select the testing and scanning records
A mechanical-testing report is provided and a 3D-scanning report is available. Define the test items, measurement coverage and acceptance criteria needed for the order. Request applicable ISO9001 documentation; where A2LA-related testing is required, identify the actual laboratory, accredited test scope and applicability of the particular report. Keep those report requirements linked to the selected bed casting and its approved geometry.
