Micro Machining or NotMicro MachiningMaterialcuatomized
Custom gray cast-iron sand-casting enquiries include micro-machining for the required component. Material follows the part specification. Provide the complete iron grade and actual drawing so the casting, small-scale geometry and supplied condition can be defined for the order.
Explain the small geometry in the complete part
Show the local details requiring micro-machining together with the component’s overall form. Mark datum relationships and the interfaces that make those details relevant to function. Identify the dimensions and acceptance limits needed to assess the selected geometry.
Separate cast and machined acceptance
Distinguish surfaces supplied in their cast state from areas requiring further work. State the material condition and measurement stage applicable to the finished interfaces. Where access or visibility affects assessment of a small detail, define the inspection method and records required by the design.
- Provide quantity and the controlled revision.
- Identify the governing iron specification.
- Mark working and contacting surfaces.
- Define the required final appearance.
- State the approval sample’s intended purpose.
Make the quotation’s supplied state clear
Describe the machining scope and final surface required for the actual part, including any boundaries between different surface conditions. Agree the material, dimensional and visual checks needed for approval. If a reference sample accompanies the drawing, identify what it illustrates and where the drawing governs. Retain that component definition through production acceptance so the micro-machining request has a precise, part-specific result.
