Grey-iron manhole-cover and water-meter-box enquiries are offered through custom sand casting. OEM/ODM work can define size, surface treatment and optional machining to the drawing, with steel or aluminum components treated as separate material requests.

  • Identify the cover, frame or water-meter-box component.
  • Select the iron grade and governing drawing revision.
  • Mark seating, closure and installation interfaces.
  • Define the required duty, load class and acceptance tests.
  • State quantity and the required delivered finish.

Show the cover and frame relationship

Provide the opening, seating and mating geometry needed by the installation. For a meter box, identify the box interfaces and the arrangement required by the project. These dimensions establish how the selected casting should fit its adjoining components and be accepted on the drawing.

Define heavy-duty acceptance for the actual installation

State the load class and service requirements specified by the project. Identify the relevant tests and dimensional limits for the ordered cover or box. A heavy-duty enquiry should be tied to that application brief so the quotation addresses the required component and checking scope.

Specify finishing, documents and packing

Submit 2D PDF/CAD or 3D IGES/STEP information with any surfaces requiring machining and the requested treatment. Carton and wooden-box packing are named. Request applicable ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS documents within their actual scope, while keeping the project-specific cover or box acceptance requirements with the approved material and geometry.
