Custom HT250 or HT200 gray-iron sand castings can be requested alongside separate steel, stainless-steel and aluminum die-cast components. OEM/ODM work should define the complete material and compatible route for each item. Provide the actual drawing and required supplied state for the order.

Assign precision to the chosen component’s geometry

Use the 0.01 mm reference when defining acceptance of the selected part’s controlled dimensions and measurement stage. Mark datums and the relationships governing assembly fit. Distinguish the general cast form from interfaces requiring particular final limits or additional work. Record the supplied condition of mating surfaces alongside their accepted dimensional results.

Select treatment for the actual substrate

Polishing, painting, powder coating, sandblasting and electroplating are finish choices. Define the required process, coverage and appearance. Identify masking and final contact conditions at functional surfaces so finishing and dimensional acceptance address the same supplied result.

  • Provide quantity and the controlling component revision.
  • Identify the governing grade document and material condition.
  • Specify material, dimensional and surface approval records.
  • Explain what an initial part must demonstrate.

Agree inspection and document identity

The stated 100% inspection should assess agreed characteristics and reporting for the actual component. Request relevant IATF16949:2016 documentation and establish the document identity and applicable scope of the ISO16949:2009 reference. Retain approved material, route and surface changes with the drawing so production acceptance follows the selected iron casting or separate metal part.
