Custom OEM enquiries cover aluminum motor housings and separate copper or steel components. Additional requests include stainless steel, brass, iron and plastic items. Select the complete grade and a compatible sand, gravity or investment route for each casting, with welding, forging or machining work defined separately where requested.
Locate the housing and component interfaces
Show the mounting, locating and contact areas that determine assembly fit. The casting-tolerance reference is CT4–CT8 and machining tolerance is stated as ±0.02 mm. Assign each requirement to agreed dimensions and supplied stages, with the datum arrangement and inspection basis identified.
Specify the operations needed for the drawing
Named machining includes broaching, drilling, milling, turning, tapping and wire processing. Identify the actual wire method and the geometry to be produced by the selected operations. Supply scope also includes molds, deburring, surface treatment and packing for the ordered component.
- Provide the controlled drawing and required quantity.
- State the grade and required delivered condition.
- Mark finished dimensions and material acceptance requirements.
- Define the inspection records and sample approval needed.
Close the finish and document selection
Finish choices are polishing, passivation, sandblasting, zinc plating and black oxidation. Define the treatment and contact-surface boundaries for the substrate. Specify the complete document and edition within ISO, GB, DIN, JIS, ANSI, BSW, ASTM, ASME, BS, API or EN standard families. Identify the applicable ISO9001:2015-related and TUV qualification documents and their scope alongside the component’s inspection requirements.
