Show the housing's locating and mounting geometry
Provide the wall shape, motor mounting pattern and mating surfaces on the controlled drawing. Identify the dimensions that position the housing relative to adjoining components. These relationships give the casting request a practical definition and show where finished-dimensional control matters.
Define the CNC surfaces and acceptance datums
Mark the interfaces needing machining and place their required limits on the drawing. Keep those requirements distinct from the general casting envelope, including the stage at which each dimension will be accepted. Specify any surface-condition checks relevant to the housing's actual service.
