Custom QT400 iron support parts are offered through sand casting, optional machining and surface treatment. Painted surfaces and customer-requested colors or treatments are available. Define the support geometry and mounting requirements so the finished casting can be assessed against its actual working role.
Establish the support interfaces
Show the locating faces, fixing positions and mating components on a controlled drawing. Describe the loading direction and installation conditions relevant to the support. Specify the complete governing material designation for the QT-400 enquiry and the acceptance requirements that apply to the finished component.
Allocate optional machining and the finish
Machining can be included when needed. Identify the required operations, controlled dimensions and permitted limits rather than relying on the process name alone. Mark surfaces whose fit must be assessed after painting or another agreed treatment. State the required appearance and any areas needing protection during finishing or handling.
Provide usable design inputs
Drawing inputs include 2D, 3D, CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF and IGS. Identify the controlling revision when several files are supplied. The minimum order is one piece, and wooden packaging is offered for the completed custom support parts.
Agree how the casting will be accepted
QT400 support castings are offered with 100% inspection of the agreed dimensions and surface condition. Define the dimensions, surface criteria and records to be included in that inspection for the selected support. Provide the required quantity and initial approval requirements, and keep approved changes linked to the same drawing revision. This makes a later enquiry traceable to the actual iron support and its supplied condition.
