Our ServiceCustom metal parts as per drawings/samples.
Custom steel sand castings are offered from drawings or samples, with coated-sand processing, machining and polishing in the stated production scope. Material requests name 45#, 20#, 1045 and 1035 separately. Specify the complete cast-grade requirement and governing standard for the component being ordered.
Turn a sample into a controlled component definition
A sample is useful for showing the overall form and how the part fits its assembly. Pair it with a drawing that identifies the dimensions to reproduce, any worn areas and the required finished condition. This allows the enquiry to distinguish an existing part’s appearance from the geometry that must be accepted.
Assign the casting tolerance to measurable dimensions
CT4–9 is the stated casting-tolerance reference. Define the applicable dimensions, route and inspection basis for the selected part, then identify any interfaces that require machining. Where the finished component is checked from a different datum than the casting, show both measurement arrangements clearly.
Decide how the surface will be accepted
Polishing, rust prevention and customized treatments are named surface choices. Establish which areas are appearance surfaces and which must preserve a functional contact condition. The selected treatment can then be included in the acceptance instructions instead of being left as a general finish description.
- State the quantity and the drawing revision.
- Mark finished interfaces and surface acceptance areas.
- Identify the checks covered by the stated 100% full inspection.
- Choose wooden-case or pallet packing with an inner plastic bag.
- Describe any separate packing or component-identification needs.
