Custom steel, aluminum and iron component enquiries include green-sand and shell/coated-sand casting requests. Select the actual molding route and complete grade for the drawing. Machining can be included where needed, while plating is specified for the selected substrate and required delivered condition.
Connect the molding request to the component
Show the overall geometry and identify the areas that influence assembly or subsequent processing. Where internal shapes or recesses need explanation, include sections or a model with the enquiry. The selected manufacturing scope should be tied to the same drawing revision used for dimensional acceptance.
Mark the interfaces that need further work
Distinguish surfaces accepted in their cast state from bores, faces or threads that require a finished dimension. Identify the datums used to locate those interfaces and the inspection arrangement needed after processing. This provides a practical basis for defining the optional work without assigning an unsupported general precision limit.
