Industrial sand-casting requests should identify the material family before defining the component supply. This enquiry includes vermicular cast-iron requests and separate steel/carbon-steel machinery parts. Custom OEM scope can include casting, optional machining-center work and customer-required surface treatment.
Select the vermicular-iron or steel grade for the component
Name the actual material grade and its governing standard for the requested part. A vermicular cast-iron enquiry needs its own material requirement rather than a substitution based on a general iron label. Steel or carbon-steel components likewise require the selected grade and component drawing.
Describe the machined interfaces and material condition
Show the surfaces requiring machining-center work and the dimensions needed after that work. Customized tempering is included for the selected material and required condition. Specify the processing requirement as part of the component design so the casting and finished machining scope remain consistent.

Define the order and qualification basis
The minimum-order reference is 1000, with the order unit to be agreed for the actual component. ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO9001 are named quality-control references. Identify the applicable current supplier documentation and scope required for purchasing. The selected grade, drawing and delivered condition should establish the order's technical acceptance rather than an assumed general performance rating.
