Customized OEM gray-iron sand-cast parts can be requested to an actual component specification. Ductile-iron enquiries need an independently selected grade and condition. Define the chosen material family and the drawing controlling the part’s geometry and required supplied state.
Select the iron for the component’s duty
Describe the working environment and the part’s role within its assembly. Show mounting, locating and contacting relationships relevant to that function. Where material options are compared, identify which drawing and condition are approved for each actual component.
Define cast and finished-interface requirements
Mark dimensions and references governing installation or functional fit. Establish permitted limits and measurement conditions for relationships assessed together. Distinguish regions accepted in their cast state from interfaces needing additional work or another supplied surface result.
