Custom iron casting and machining enquiries include jack bodies made to customer drawings or samples. Select grey iron or ductile iron according to the actual design requirement. A jack-body request should define its functional geometry and supplied condition together with any design-specific service or load checks.

Specify the grade on the component drawing

The material scope names several grade requests. State the complete designation and governing standard for the chosen iron rather than treating the different labels as interchangeable.

  • GGG50 enquiry.
  • GG25 enquiry.
  • GGG40 enquiry.
  • FCD500 enquiry.

Separate the blank and machined acceptance

For the iron jack-body scope, the casting reference is CT9–CT11. CNC work, drilling, milling, boring and tapping are named machining options. The finished-stage references are up to IT7 and Ra 0.8–3.2; define the controlled dimensions, roughness unit and measurement arrangement. Mark the datums relating mounting and locating areas so that the finished component can be checked against its assembly function.

Close the finish and packing instructions

Dacromat coating and finish painting are named surface choices. Identify the treatment and any masking required where the component contacts or locates other parts. The jack-body packing reference is a multilayer wooden box with a large inner plastic bag. Include the required separation and protection for finished interfaces, along with the material, dimensional and surface records needed for acceptance. Give quantity and identify the drawing or sample reference that governs the order.
