Surface treatmentCustomers' DemandKeywordInvestment Casting Part
OEM metal-component enquiries include sand casting and lost-wax investment casting for iron, stainless steel, carbon steel or aluminum alloy. Select the complete grade and compatible route for each part. The required supplied condition should follow its working role and customer drawing.
Establish the interfaces that govern fit
Show locating references and the relationships with adjoining components. For an interface using the unsigned 0.01 mm tolerance reference, define the permitted deviation and the processing stage at which it is assessed. Include measurement conditions for dimensions evaluated together in the assembly.
Decide where machining is required
Identify faces and dimensions needing further work after casting. Distinguish these from areas accepted in their cast condition and specify the final surface result. This allows optional machining to be scoped around the actual mating geometry rather than an undefined precision label.
Set finishing and inspection acceptance
Surface treatment follows customer demand. Specify a compatible process, its coverage and any masking needed at working contacts. The stated strict 100% inspection needs agreed checks and acceptance criteria tied to the selected material, geometry and supplied state.
- Provide quantity and the controlling drawing revision.
- Identify material and dimensional documentation required for approval.
- Explain what an initial component must demonstrate.
- Retain accepted grade, interface and finish changes with the order.
Use that approved part definition when confirming production or requesting the same casting again for its intended equipment duty.
