OEM casting enquiries cover grey iron, ductile iron and ADI, with separate aluminum die- or gravity-casting requests. Select the actual material and component drawing before defining the casting, machining, finishing and inspection work required by the order.
Choose the route for the selected metal
Named process enquiries include steel-mold gravity casting, coated sand cores, low-pressure gravity casting and inlay casting. CNC machining, checking and packaging are also within the service scope. Assign a compatible route and the required secondary operations to the actual grade and geometry.
Define approval and process-control deliverables
PPAP, CPK and MSA are named services. Specify the actual required method and deliverable for any FEMA enquiry. DIN, ASTM, GOST, ISO, BS and NADCA are standard families to identify by applicable document, while ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS requests should define their relevant supplier and component scope.
- Submit the component drawing, material grade and quantity.
- Select the casting route, cores and CNC work required.
- Identify process-control and approval records needed.
- Specify leak, pressure, X-ray, CMM or spectrograph checks as applicable.
- Define surface treatment and finished-component acceptance.
Match finishing and tests to the application
Painting, powder coating, polishing, electroplating and shot blasting are named finishes for appropriate selected materials. Automotive, home-appliance, electronics and furniture projects should each provide their specific surface and inspection requirements. Agree the tests and coverage needed for the component rather than applying every listed inspection resource to every item.
