OEM wheel-hub housing and truck hub-shell enquiries can be made in grey cast iron or ductile iron through sand casting. An industrial flange plate is a separately defined component request. Choose the delivered part and complete material specification before comparing its geometry with the intended assembly.
Identify the housing or plate being ordered
Use a controlled drawing to distinguish the hub shell from any associated flange. Describe what the selected component supports, encloses or connects. Where a replacement is required, identify the actual truck or equipment assembly and separate worn surfaces from the intended design dimensions.
Describe the interfaces that establish fit
Show mounting positions, bearing-related geometry and mating contacts relevant to the chosen part. Identify dimensional relationships assessed together, including the references used to measure them. State the permissible limits and supplied condition needed at installation so a customizable size becomes a defined component requirement.
Choose acceptance around the working duty
Explain the operating environment and loading conditions relevant to the selected iron and design. Define the surface result required on functional and visible areas. Include any additional processing or material-condition needs for agreement during quotation, with the stage at which the component must satisfy its drawing.
Prepare the initial part approval
State the quantity, drawing revision and inspection records needed for acceptance. Identify any vehicle-specific or industrial qualification requirements for the actual housing or plate. Retain approved material and geometry decisions within that part’s record, so a later order can be assessed against the same assembly interfaces and required supplied state.
