Aluminum-component enquiries include A380, ADC12 or AlSi7Mg material references with a selected compatible casting route. OEM/ODM supply should establish the actual drawing, complete alloy specification and required condition. The chosen process and supplied geometry should address the component’s working duty.
Select the actual casting route
Route requests include lost-wax investment, die, gravity, clay-sand, coated-sand, lost-foam and metal-mold casting. Define the selected arrangement for the actual material and design. Die-casting requests can include machining, with that work specified separately from other process selections.
Assign tolerance to the supplied geometry
The unsigned 0.05–0.2 mm requirement needs controlled features, permitted deviations and processing stages defined. Mark locating references and relationships with the mating assembly. Agree measurement conditions where several interfaces must be assessed together for final fit.
Set surface and application acceptance
Painting, hot-dip galvanizing, shot blasting and polishing require the actual substrate and procedure agreed. Identify coverage, appearance and final contact requirements. Automotive, motorcycle and industrial requests each need their own duty and component-acceptance brief.
- State the selected aluminum part’s quantity and controlling revision.
- Identify material, dimensional and surface approval evidence.
- Request applicable TS16949 documents and activity scope.
- Retain accepted grade, route and machining decisions within the item definition.
Use the approved material and processing package when confirming further components for the same working arrangement, including the supplied interfaces assessed within the actual mating assembly.
