OEM/ODM grey- and ductile-iron casting enquiries include tooling, selected sand or investment casting, and CNC lathe or milling-center machining. Requests serve industrial machinery, automotive and electrical components. Choose the complete iron grade and route for the part’s drawing and required material condition.

Assign the tolerance to the manufacturing stage

The casting reference is CT4–CT9. Machining references are ±0.005 mm and ISO2768-mk; identify the dimensions controlled individually and the areas governed by the general-tolerance requirement. Show the datum system and final measurement stage for the interfaces determining assembly.

Select treatment for the actual iron

Heat-treatment requests include annealing, quench and temper, and ADI condition for an appropriate selected iron. Define the material condition required by the component’s duty. Surface choices include zinc plating, painting and powder coating, with the selected coverage and masking incorporated into the finished-part definition.

  • Provide the controlled drawing and order quantity.
  • Mark cast and CNC-finished surfaces.
  • Identify material and dimensional acceptance records.
  • State the required sample-approval deliverables.
  • Describe protection for finished contact areas.

Agree the quality-planning deliverables

Named planning references include PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plan and MSA. Specify the documents needed for the actual part and project stage. Identify applicable ISO9001 documentation and supplier scope alongside those deliverables, keeping component approval tied to the selected grade, drawing and finished condition. Link each requested record to its drawing characteristic, approval responsibility and production stage.
