Large one-piece sand castings are offered for heavy-machinery OEM/ODM enquiries using customized drawings or samples. A one-piece minimum is listed, with quantity negotiable for the actual order. Define the component’s working duty, supplied condition and complete material requirement before agreeing its production scope.
Select the material for the large component
Identify the governing document and required material condition for the design. Material choices should be selected independently rather than treated as equivalent performance classes across different iron and steel families.
- Grey-iron requests can specify HT200 or HT250.
- Ductile-iron requests can specify QT450 or QT500.
- WCB is the named carbon-steel option.
Define nominal size and actual geometry
DN300–DN3000 is the nominal-size reference, with custom drawings accepted. Specify the actual envelope, connections and mounting interfaces for the selected part. Identify which of those relationships must be assessed together during installation. CT9–CT11 under ISO8062 is the casting-tolerance requirement; identify applicable dimensions and limits separately from any requested final processing.
Set surface and approval requirements
Shot blasting, sandblasting and anti-rust painting are finish choices. Mark treated areas and the final contact or appearance result needed. Select actual requirements within ASTM, DIN and GB standard families, requesting applicable ISO9001 system documentation separately. State inspection methods, initial approval criteria and records needed for acceptance. Keep approved sample or drawing changes connected to the same material, geometry and supplied condition when confirming a further large-casting order.
