Nonstandard iron castings can be requested with Ni-hard material and furan-resin, coated-sand or shell-molding process references. OEM/ODM dimensions and tolerances follow the component drawing. Select the complete alloy, required condition and actual molding arrangement for the individual part.
Choose the iron and manufacturing route
Describe the working duty and material requirements for the selected design. Show the casting’s location and relationships with adjoining equipment. Define the route being requested rather than treating all binder and molding references as one interchangeable process.
Scope optional machining and precision
Identify interfaces requiring work after casting and distinguish them from regions supplied in the cast state. Mark locating references and permitted dimensional limits for the intended fit. Agree measurement conditions where several relationships are evaluated together during component approval.
Set the surface and inspection result
The finish for the Ni-hard iron component can be specified to the requested supplied condition. Select a compatible process and define its coverage, appearance and final contact conditions. The stated 100% inspection needs the actual checks, measured characteristics and records required to accept the selected iron component.
