Industrial casting requests should identify the metal family and required condition for the component. This OEM/ODM enquiry covers stainless-steel parts and separate grey-iron, ductile-iron or ADI sand castings. Define the part drawing and delivered scope so material and process requirements are reviewed for the actual item.
Choose the material under its applicable standard
Named standard families include DIN, AISI, SAE, ASTM, UNS, GOST, ISO, BS, EN and JIS. Identify the document and full grade required for the selected component. Keep a stainless-steel enquiry distinct from an iron sand-casting request, and specify any ADI condition as part of the actual material requirement.
Define the inspection evidence needed for acceptance
The testing-equipment scope names spectrograph, CMM, roughness tester and tension tester. Identify the material and dimensional checks required for the order and the records needed to establish acceptance. If a PP requirement is included, define its intended method and result in the purchase request.
