Custom QT400 ductile-iron support components are offered with sand casting and painted or customer-requested surfaces. OEM supply begins at a one-piece minimum. Specify the full governing QT-400 designation, required material condition and actual support drawing for the order.
Define the support through its assembly contacts
Show mounting and locating relationships with surrounding equipment parts. State the operating duty relevant to the selected material and design. Mark datums and dimensional limits governing fit, identifying working contacts requiring a particular final condition.
Assign optional machining and the painted result
Machining can be included where needed before the chosen treatment. Distinguish cast-state form from interfaces requiring finished dimensions and identify the measurement stage for acceptance. Define color, coverage, masking and appearance where painting or another requested surface process affects the final result.
Set inspection for the ordered support
The stated 100% inspection should address agreed support characteristics and reporting. Specify material, dimensional and surface records needed for approval and explain the initial piece’s purpose. Keep the selected grade, geometry and supplied state identifiable through the inspection brief.
- Supply 2D or 3D information, including CAD, DWG, STEP, PDF or IGS.
- Provide quantity and the controlling revision.
- Specify protection within wooden packing.
- Retain approved mounting and surface changes with the drawing.
Connect production approval to the actual support component and its accepted material, fit and delivered condition.
