Industrial-equipment sand-casting enquiries include cast-iron components and separately specified aluminum or aluminum-alloy parts. Choose the actual material family and complete grade for the required item. A dimensioned component drawing should establish the shape, working relationships and supplied condition being requested.

Identify the equipment role

Describe where the component sits within the industrial assembly and what its contacts or connections must achieve. Include the operating environment and duty relevant to that function. Material selection can then be considered against the actual part rather than a broad equipment description.

Describe fit through the drawing

Show mounting and mating interfaces, with locating references that make their relationships clear. Put dimensional limits on the areas controlling installation or operation. Identify any interfaces assessed together and the conditions under which those measurements will be accepted.

Specify the required supplied surface

Distinguish cast-state regions from areas needing an additional finished result. Identify visible or working contacts and describe the surface requirements for each. Agree any requested further processing around the chosen material and required condition of the component.

Establish an order and approval basis

Provide quantity, drawing revision and the material or dimensional records needed for acceptance. Explain any initial-part assessment and the characteristics it must demonstrate against the equipment interfaces. Keep agreed changes to material, geometry and final condition together when ordering the same industrial component again.
