Custom steel casting enquiries combine sand casting, coated-sand processing, machining and polishing. Named material requests are 45#, 20#, 1045 and 1035 steel, with custom grades available and supply developed from the customer's drawing or sample.

Specify the steel requirement for the drawing

Provide the complete cast-grade requirement and governing material document. Keep the selected designation with the component's geometry and intended duty rather than assuming the named steel labels are equivalent. A sample-based request should also identify the dimensions and conditions that the new part must retain.

Set the casting and machining acceptance

The stated casting-tolerance reference is CT4–CT9. Locate the relevant dimensions on the drawing and agree the acceptance convention for the ordered component. Mark the interfaces requiring machining so the casting scope and the finished-dimensional requirements can be evaluated together.

  • Identify the drawing revision or reference sample.
  • Select 45#, 20#, 1045, 1035 or the required custom grade.
  • Mark cast and machined-interface dimensions.
  • Specify polishing, rust prevention and final surface condition.
  • State quantity and the required inspection records.

Protect the polished part through delivery

Quality control is described as 100% full inspection. Define the material, dimensional and appearance checks needed for acceptance. Wooden-case or pallet packing with an inner plastic bag is named, with separate or customized packing available for enquiry. Agree how the polished surfaces and functional interfaces should be protected, keeping those requirements with the accepted component drawing.
