Heavy-machinery, pump, valve and large-housing enquiries can combine a selected sand-cast blank with secondary processing. This OEM service names ductile iron and grey iron, plus carbon steel, cast steel and aluminum-alloy requests. Resin-sand and green-sand casting routes are available to discuss for the selected material and design.
Specify the complete grade and casting dimensions
Grade enquiries include QT450, GGG40, HT200, HT250, QT450-10, GGG50 and A356. Select the complete designation and its governing standard for one material. The casting-tolerance reference is CT7–CT10, with large blanks available; identify the dimensions and conditions governed by that requirement.
Define CNC work and hydrostatic testing
Secondary processing includes CNC boring, milling, drilling, tapping and lathe machining. Hydrostatic testing is also a named service. Mark the finished interfaces and define the test pressure, method and acceptance criteria required for the actual pump, valve or housing order.
- Provide the component drawing and full material designation.
- Identify the selected resin-sand or green-sand requirement.
- Separate casting dimensions from CNC-finished limits.
- Specify any hydrostatic test and required records.
- State quantity and the required surface condition.
- Identify the component's operating and acceptance requirements.
Select the surface treatment for the actual material
Shot blasting, anti-rust primer, sandblasting and passivation are named finish choices. Select the treatment required for the component and describe any mating areas needing specific instructions. The finished supply scope should bring the casting, machining, testing and surface requirements together for the ordered part.
