Ductile-iron pump bodies and gearboxes can be requested as sand castings for heavy-duty applications. References are QT700-2, QT800-2, GGG70 and GGG80; select the complete governing grade without assuming equivalence. The thickness reference is 10–250 mm for the selected sand-cast component.

Define the pump or gearbox interfaces

Show the working geometry, locating references and mounting relationships with adjoining equipment. State the operating conditions and acceptance requirements behind the heavy-duty request. Put functional dimensional limits on the interfaces that matter to the actual housing design.

Separate other material and route requests

Aluminum die-cast parts, stainless-steel or copper components and plastic items require independent definitions. Sand casting and vacuum-aspirated casting are also named route requests to match to the actual material and geometry. An automotive application needs its selected component duty and supplied scope established.

Specify polished areas and identification

Polishing and custom logos are available requests. Identify treated faces, required appearance and logo placement on the actual item. Define the final condition at working contacts and any masking needed where finishing affects fit.

  • The stated 100% inspection needs agreed checks for the selected component.
  • Identify required material, dimensional and surface records.
  • Provide the housing quantity and controlling design revision.
  • Retain accepted grade and route changes within that item’s order definition.

Use the approved interface and duty requirements when confirming further pump-body or gearbox castings.
