Coated-sand steel-casting enquiries include CNC machining, quench-and-temper heat treatment, shot blasting and assembly. Select the steel grade and required material condition for the actual drawing. Define the supplied component and the interfaces that determine fit and acceptance. Identify supplied subcomponents and the acceptance condition of the completed assembly.

Specify heat treatment and production resources

Heat treatment is referenced to two mesh-belt furnaces. Machining-facility references list more than 50 machining centers and more than 80 CNC machines. Agree the resources allocated to the order and the operations needed for the selected component, together with the requested condition and final dimensions.

Assign inspection coverage by characteristic

Available references include MT, UT, RT and CMM, alongside 100% visual and 100% gauge inspection. Specify which methods apply to the part, their acceptance limits and the required records. Keep the stated visual and gauge coverage connected to those checks, with other testing defined by its agreed scope.

  • Mark functional datums and finished interfaces.
  • State the required material and dimensional records.
  • Identify shot-blasted and contact-surface boundaries.
  • Define assembly and sample-approval requirements.

Identify governing documents for the supply

Standard families are ASTM, AISI, DIN, BS, JIS, NF and AS. Name the applicable document and grade for the order. Request relevant IATF16949 and ISO14001 documentation and scope alongside quantity and the controlled revision, keeping qualification and component approval attached to the actual manufacturing request.
