Custom aluminum machinery housings and cabinet-component enquiries offer gravity-die or laminated-sand casting selection, with optional machining and polishing. Identify the complete alloy and actual mold/binder process for the drawing. Size and dimensions follow the chosen component requirement.
Define the housing form and assembly interfaces
Show wall geometry, mounting points and mating surfaces needed to understand the component. The laminated-sand requirement should identify its actual process and supply scope. Mark areas accepted as cast separately from interfaces requiring a final dimension. Include access requirements where the enclosure’s internal geometry affects measurement of a finished interface.
Assign the tolerance and inspection basis
The tolerance reference is 0.01–0.05 mm. Define its convention, controlled dimensions and supplied stages. For the housing order, identify the material, dimensional and surface checks within the stated 100% inspection and ISO9001-system scope.
- Provide the controlled drawing revision and required quantity.
- State the complete alloy and material condition.
- Mark finished dimensions and measurement datums.
- Define sample approval and inspection-record requirements.
Close the finish and governing documents
Specify the polished or customer-requested surface condition and masking boundaries at functional areas. GB, ASTM, AISI, DIN and BS are standard families requiring applicable documents and editions. Wooden-box packing is named; include protection for finished interfaces. Agree the actual sample and production scope using the same drawing, grade and delivered condition that governs acceptance of the ordered housing or cabinet component.
