ToleranceCustomer's Drawing Request
Aluminum housing and enclosure enquiries combine a selected sand-, resin-sand- or gravity-casting route with optional machining and polishing. OEM/ODM customization follows the component drawing, with dimensions and tolerances defined for the actual industrial part.
Establish the enclosure's wall and mounting geometry
Provide the wall sections, connection locations and mating surfaces that determine how the enclosure fits the assembly. Select the aluminum grade and identify the drawing revision used for acceptance. These details help the casting review address the shape and interfaces required by the ordered housing.
Mark the dimensions that need machining
Identify the surfaces requiring finished machining and distinguish them from the cast geometry. Customer-drawing tolerances should be attached to the relevant dimensions and supplied stage. The selected casting route and machining request can then be considered against the same controlled component definition.
- Submit the housing model and dimensioned drawing.
- Select the aluminum alloy and requested casting process.
- Mark wall requirements and machined interfaces.
- Define the polished-surface result and dimensional checks.
- State quantity and the required delivered condition.
Specify polishing and the applicable documents
Polishing is the named surface treatment. Identify visible and contact areas and agree the appearance required at acceptance. Specify the DIN document relevant to the selected part, and request applicable current supplier documents for the ISO9001:2008 qualification reference. Keep the finish and inspection brief with the approved housing geometry for the order.
