Custom die-cast component enquiries can begin with a customer drawing or a design developed from a sample. Aluminum alloy, zinc and magnesium are named die-casting material choices here, with mould design and production included in the service scope. Copper, iron and sand-casting requests are separate enquiries to define for the selected part.
Identify the part before developing the mould
Provide the component geometry and explain the function of its mounting and mating interfaces. If working from a sample, identify the dimensions and requirements that the new design must retain. Customized size and a one-piece minimum order allow the request to be framed around the actual component or sample requirement.
- Submit a drawing or the sample information needed for design.
- Select the material grade and proposed component route.
- Identify critical dimensions and the required delivered condition.
- State the required quantity and evaluation purpose.
- Describe the selected finish and inspection acceptance.
- Identify qualification documentation required for the application.
Coordinate design data and surface treatment
Design and exchange references include Pro/E, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAXA, UG, CAD/CAM/CAE, STP and IGES. Identify the authoritative model and drawing revision within the supplied data. Painting, powder coating, plating, polishing and anodizing are finishing enquiries to select for the actual material and component function.
Define the component's application requirements
Machinery, industrial equipment, automotive and medical-component uses are named enquiry areas. Provide the relevant drawing and acceptance requirements for the intended use. ISO9001 and IATF16949 are stated qualification references, with applicable documents and scope to be identified for the order rather than inferred from an application name.
