Custom sand-casting enquiries cover ductile iron referenced to ASTM A536 or EN-GJS, with separately specified aluminum- or zinc-alloy components. Select the complete material grade for each drawing. The named iron families require their own governing documents and conditions rather than an assumed grade equivalence.
Set drawing limits for the working interfaces
Tolerances follow the customer drawing. Identify mounting, locating and contacting geometry, together with the datums used for acceptance. Define the required material condition and supplied stage so dimensional assessment addresses the component actually being ordered.
Choose a substrate-compatible surface
Painting, anodizing, powder coating and electrophoresis are named requests. Assign a suitable process to the selected material and specify its coverage, appearance and contact requirements. Mark areas needing masking or a different final condition where treatment affects assembly fit.
Clarify documents and inspection coverage
Request applicable ISO9001 documentation with its holder, validity and activity scope. Clarify the complete document identity behind the separate ISO2009 reference. The stated 100% pre-dispatch inspection should identify the actual characteristics checked, acceptance limits and records required for the selected component.
- Minimum quantity is negotiated for the order.
- Provide the controlling drawing revision and requested quantity.
- Export packing is referenced; define protection for finished interfaces.
- Identify initial-approval requirements and necessary material records.
Retain accepted grade, finish and interface changes with the component definition when confirming repeat supply.
