Industrial sand-casting enquiries include brass, copper and bronze components, with iron as a separate material scope. Select the complete grade for the actual part and define any machining required after casting. Paint-sprayed finishing and film-coated-sand process requests should have their selected surface or molding requirements clearly specified.
Assign precision to the supplied state
The tolerance reference is 0.01 mm. Mark the dimensions concerned, their allowable limits and whether acceptance applies to the cast form or a machined interface. Show the locating datums and mating geometry used to assess the component’s fit in the industrial assembly.
Define the molding and appearance requests
For the selected sand process, identify the actual mold or sand/binder system requested for the geometry. Describe the required color, paint coverage and final condition at contact surfaces. Include any masking and the stage at which dimensional acceptance should be assessed.
