OEM and ODM mechanical-spare-part enquiries include carbon-steel castings and separately specified stainless-steel, iron or titanium components. Grade requests name 304, 316 and 2205 for stainless steel and GG20, GG25, GJL200 and GJL250 for iron. Choose the complete designation and governing standard for the actual spare.

Establish the replacement geometry

Show the interfaces that must match the adjoining assembly and identify any dimensions governing interchangeability. A reference part should be accompanied by the required geometry, with worn or damaged areas identified. Define the material and supplied condition needed for approval of the replacement.

  • Provide the controlled drawing and required quantity.
  • Mark mating surfaces and measurement datums.
  • Identify finished dimensions and surface acceptance.
  • Define any sample approval and material records.

Select the casting and finishing scope

Investment/lost-wax or sand-casting requests should state the actual route for the selected material. Machining is available where needed. Sandblasting, electrolysis treatment, polishing and spraying are finish choices; specify the process and masking boundaries required at functional interfaces.

Set inspection and logo requirements

For the spares order, define the checks and records within the stated 100% inspection scope. Custom logos are accepted, with artwork and placement requirements to be supplied where needed. The marking instruction should preserve access to any nearby measurement datum. Identify applicable ISO9001, TS16949 and RoHS documents and scope, and connect approval to the same grade, drawing and delivered condition used for production.
